Whispers of Summer

Well hello there. It has been a long time since we last had a visit here on the blog. Not sure where the last 2 months went but I am told this is part of growing older, time disappears, it just disappears. I think I am suffering from a case of the Junuaries but on the other hand I am rather excited as it is summer market season again. This means weekly trips to visit my favourite farmers, lots of wonderful, fresh and delicious produce and plenty of inspiration for the blog and kitchen. Winter dreams of fresh berries, peaches, and sweet shelling peas are soon to be reality once again.

There have been hints that summer can’t be too far away with the first glimpse of local strawberries and these beautiful cherry tomatoes from Celyddon Farms. These tomatoes are just too pretty and deliciously sweet and juicy to keep all to myself. I had to take a few photos. If I could reach out and feed you through the computer screen I would, they are that tasty. So to combat this case of the spring blues, I am going to put on my slippers, make this super simple pasta dish, close my eyes and escape to a warmer, sunnier place called summer.
